Firstly lets give you a little history and an overview of the company.

We are a dedicated online retailer of window blinds, we only sell window blinds online, we don’t offer any other products nor do we sell through traditional retail stores.

The company as it is today originally developed from a traditional window blinds company, we used to supply both private and commercial customers via the old fashioned route of measuring, quoting and fitting. Now don’t get me wrong we enjoyed that type of business, but to be honest always felt that in most cases our customers could do better, better prices and better quality.

The big problem with a traditional measure and fit window blinds company has always been that because you can’t get every single order you quote for somebody, and that somebody is YOU, has to pay the costs of all the unsuccessful calls. Additionally windows are so easy to measure for and so easy to actually fit that this layer of costs could easily be stripped away. After all why pay somebody to do something you can easily do yourself?

So with the arrival of the commercial Internet we went out and employed some of the best technical people we could find and built the very first UK window blinds website. Well to be fair not the very first, but the very first to sell window blinds online!

Now all we do is sell blinds online, and lots of them. Our customers seem to love the ease of the service and the fantastic quality, and of course our prices are low as we carry very few overheads.

Probably the best way to sum up what we do now is to quote our “about us” page from our online store;

“The blinds bar^® concept is simple; outstanding quality blinds, custom made to your exact requirements, at the most competitive prices available in the UK.

All of our bespoke blinds will have been sourced by our expert buyers, guided by our design team, and are manufactured here in the UK. They will be of the highest quality available at an excellent value price point. Our tailored blinds will have been sourced from the worlds finest manufacturers and then hand finished/tailored in our UK workshops.

If we are unable to find that combination of UK made or finished and good value then we wouldn’t offer you the product. It’s that simple.”

So that’s the first post out the way, sorry if it seems a little dry, but as we develop this blog we hope to pass on all we know about window blinds. We strongly believe that the more our customers know about our blinds, and about our company, then the more likely they will be to order from us.
